I started out playing rugby and general weight training. I moved into Lau Gar Kung Fu & Kick-Boxing, which also extended into Muay -Thai. I competed in several kickboxing bouts and placed 1st & 2nd place in many minor tournaments. My biggest achievement was placing 1st in an under 70Kg South East England championships. I am also a keen Wake boarder, Olympic Lifter and still Train in the Gym.
I travelled for 4 years. This led me to working in Hong Kong, which in turn took me into Personal Training. Here I worked in the Ray Wilson California Fitness Centre where I gained a Personal Training qualification. I worked alongside some very experienced Personal Trainers who were Ex Athletes, Power Lifters and various forms of other sports.
I also worked closely with Chiropractors, Osteopaths & Sports Massage Therapists, which is where the learning curve really started, allowing me to work with clientele from all backgrounds.
I came back to the UK and started working for branded Fitness clubs as a Strength & Conditioning coach, which allowed for further development while also working alongside the various in-house Practitioners for further expansion of knowledge. I also worked a Fitness Club in Canary Wharf starting in 2002 where I worked with a vast array of clients including pre/post operation, Skiers, Triathletes, Marathon runners, Boxers etc working through various phases of training including Prep work, Mobility & Stability, Strength/Power cycles, endurance work as well as coaching Olympic Lifting. I also coach Boxing and Kick-Boxing along with a vast knowledge of dealing with Rehab work Corrective exercise and advanced flexibility protocols.
I have gone on to further my knowledge which includes the London School of Sports Massage HND Dip., Dry Needling, Instrument Assisted Tissue Manipulation.
